Vaginal Bleeding During Pregnancy – Why it happens, and what it means
Every expectant mom who has experienced this before can empathize with the feeling of shock – bleeding during pregnancy is frightening. In the morning everything was fine. At noon while visiting the ladies’ room you suddenly find some blood on your toilet paper. Oh my goodness! Where is this blood coming from?
Before explaining why bleeding can occur during pregnancy, it is important to distinguish between bleeding in early pregnancy and bleeding further along in the pregnancy, i.e. in the 2nd and 3rd trimester.
